Great Web Site Content Will Grow Your Business
That title says it all. Great Web Site Content Will Grow Your Business is just a fact so start doing it. But, what is content? Let’s start there. We design websites for hundreds of Michigan businesses and the challenge is often times that the client cannot come up with wording. The most basic definition of content is “pictures and words”. Your website needs to use content to both get people there and keep people there. Why is it so difficult for clients to provide us with content? It’s because in your business you have a sort of tunnel vision. You’re good at doing what you do, but have a hard time explaining it to others because you do it so well. In order for our website and literature designs to be high-level, we need content. For a web page we have come up with a minimum of about 300 words and 3 images. Still our clients struggle to get us that.
What’s the solution?
At Digital Designs we have a service called “Content Writing”. It takes time. We have to learn your business in and out so we can write about it and select the best images. Sometimes we come onsite. Sometimes we do telephone interviews with you and/or employees. It depends on your type and style business. As far as images go we can use your images if they are of a high enough resolution. Often times however we either use stock imagery or send one of our photographers to you. Besides, if you don’t have time to be a writer why would you have time to be a high-level photographer. You’re good at what you do. Let us take care of making you look cool on screen an print.
Why Content AND Images?
You need text to help Google index your site and you need pictures to keep there there. Let’s say you’re on page one of Google for certain keywords. Great. Too bad you’re site has no images to keep people interested. People are people. They like to look at visually appealing things. Maybe you have great words and great pictures, but the arrangement or design is horrible. You have the same problem. People with visit you site then quickly leave. This is called a bounce and if your bounce rate is too high Google will slowly pull you down from your once high position. Contact us today and we can help.
